How to avoid air pockets in your soap

In order to ensure a smooth hard soap bar without any holes, simple follow the steps below:

1. Always use a spatula or the stick blender when adding the lye to your oils or when pouring the soap into the mold. Adding the lye directly to your soap without a spatula or a stick blender will create turbulence and cause the formation of trapped air in the soap.

2. Before starting blending, tap the stick blender a few times up and down. This will also help removing any trapped air from the soap.

3. Another thing you can once you have added the soap into the mold is take the mold and gently shake it sideways or even tap it on the tap it on the table a few times. If there is trapped air bubbles, you will see them coming out and forming on the surface of the soap.
