This soap is handcrafted using only the finest ingredients, including activated charcoal and the enchanting fragrance of neroli. Shea butter and cocoa butter lend a creaminess to the soap due to their high natural content of stearic acid. Coconut oil offers an amazing beautiful lather. The soap is completed by the aphrodisiac scent of neroli which is highlighted by geranium notes.
Inspired by Anne Marie Orsini, from the distinguished Orsini family, princess of Nerola, in Italy. She was also known as Princess Neroli. Around 1680 she started creating essences from bitter orange for scenting her gloves and bath. Since then, the essential oil coming from the flowers of the bitter orange tree was named neroli. It is a light floral note with legendary aphrodisiac properties. Bitter orange tree is one of the most unique and important trees in perfumery. From the blossoms we get neroli essential oil and orange flower absolute. From the twigs and leaves, we get petitgrain and from the rind of the fruit, we get bitter orange essential oil. To get the highest quality neroli oil, the flowers must be picked on a warm and sunny day when the blossoms are just beginning to open.
